Thank you for the introduction Chris!

Hi everyone! I'm Maxine Hayes! I'm best known for some of my projects such
as ELFS (Enterprise Linux From Scratch) and Project Andre (A distribution
which tried to make a 1:1 RHEL clone using only CentOS Stream sources). I'm
also a contributor of Rocky Linux and as Chris mentioned I'm an OpenELA
contributor too! At OLF 2023 I attended as a representative of Rocky Linux.
This is how I met Chris and got introduced to the Dark Horse Linux Project!
I feel as though DHLP is tackling some territory no other distributions are
right now. I see a lot of potential in DHLP with tools such as Pyrois and
Rex!

For a while I've been discussing with Chris about the overall structure of
the distribution, project goals, and contribution processes.

One topic we've been discussing is how we're going to separate different
parts of the distribution out such as "Core", "BaseOS", and "AppStream".
The idea for Core is what Pyrois generates. BaseOS would be Core, but
generated as RPMs for binary installations. AppStream would be RPM packages
like Firefox for example. Another idea is that every release the entire
distribution goes through a from scratch rebuild process to keep it from
being so reliant on itself for development that you need DHLP to build
DHLP. This process would look like: Build Core -> Core builds BaseOS ->
BaseOS builds AppStream.
